Comprehensive Hematology & Coagulation – Complete Blood Counts, Hemostasis & More

Blufrog Path Lab Solutions, LLC provides state‑of‑the‑art hematology and coagulation testing using fully automated, high‑throughput analyzers. Our menu includes complete blood counts (CBC) with five‑part differential, reticulocyte counts, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and comprehensive coagulation panels (PT/INR, aPTT, fibrinogen, D‑dimer, coagulation factors). We support diagnosis and monitoring of anemia, leukemias, thrombocytopenia, bleeding disorders, thrombophilia, and anticoagulation therapy.

In addition, our hematopathology team performs peripheral blood smear reviews, bone marrow aspirate and biopsy interpretation, and flow cytometry for immunophenotyping of hematolymphoid neoplasms. Every result is verified by experienced medical technologists and hematopathologists, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and timely clinical decision support.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC) with 5‑part diff
  • Reticulocyte count & hemoglobin electrophoresis
  • Peripheral smear review by pathologist
  • PT/INR, aPTT, fibrinogen, thrombin time
  • D‑dimer, mixing studies, factor assays
  • Anticoagulant monitoring (heparin, warfarin, DOACs)
  • Bone marrow aspiration & biopsy interpretation
  • Flow cytometry for leukemia/lymphoma panels
  • Sickle cell screen & G6PD testing
  • Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR)
  • Platelet function assays (aggregometry)
  • Thrombophilia workup (protein C/S, antithrombin)

A CBC measures red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and indices. It helps diagnose anemia, infection, inflammation, bleeding disorders, and blood cancers such as leukemia or lymphoma.

Coagulation tests are required for patients with unexplained bleeding or bruising, prior to surgery, during anticoagulant therapy (warfarin, DOACs), liver disease, DVT/PE evaluation, and inherited clotting disorders (hemophilia, von Willebrand disease).

Fasting is not required for routine CBC or coagulation tests (PT/INR, aPTT). However, certain lipid‑related indices may be affected; follow any specific instructions given by your physician.

A pathologist examines a stained blood slide under the microscope to identify abnormal cell shapes, sizes, inclusions, blasts, or parasites (e.g., malaria). It confirms or refutes automated CBC flags and provides diagnostic clues.

Yes, we offer factor assays (VIII, IX, XI, XII), von Willebrand panel, platelet aggregation studies, lupus anticoagulant, and thrombophilia markers (protein C/S, antithrombin, factor V Leiden).
